ALTEN has a project office with 15 employees in the city of Karlsruhe, which has a population of 300,000. It is located in the district Hagsfeld on the eastern outskirts. The large windows of the modern office complex offer a great view of the nature outside and contribute to a pleasant working day. The immediate vicinity offers various restaurants and shops for meals during lunch break.
The public transport connections are perfect. The S2 line stops at Hagsfeld Süd directly in front of the company building.
Within ten minutes you will reach the city centre by car and in just five minutes the Karlsruhe North junction of the A5 motorway. Free parking is available in sufficient numbers on the street.

A new era began in Karlsruhe in 1984 which is now indispensable. Germany’s first e-mail was received and sent at the University of Karlsruhe. Today, there are numerous companies in the field of information and communication technology in Karlsruhe.
Due to its geographical location, Karlsruhe is a border town in two ways. On the one hand, the Rhine at the western end of the city forms the border with the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. On the other hand, the French border is less than 30 kilometres away. Therefore, many important European transport routes also pass through Karlsruhe.
One of the most famous landmarks is the Karlsruhe Palace. The streets radiate into the city from there, which is why Karlsruhe is also known as the “fan city”. There are numerous excursion destinations and leisure activities to tune out from everyday work along the Badische Weinstrasse between Alsace, the Palatinate Forest, and the Black Forest.
