Working at ALTEN – Employee Interview #1

Our colleague Wolfram Glaser in Hamburg was interviewed by our Marketing colleague Sandra Bloem and Franziska Hinz from the Department Career Engineer about his work life at ALTEN Technology. Not only did he give insights into his project, but also exciting tips for our Consultants.

Wolfram Glaser joined us as a Consultant in 2015. In 2016, he became a Cluster Leader and later on a Project Leader. Since 2018, he is working as a Senior Project Leader.

Franziska: What is your current Project?

Wolfram: My current project is the 3D End to End project where we enable Airbus to do the digital transformation for the A320 family. That means we take the 2D drawings that exist which are used as the master for the entire engineering and manufacturing process and we transform them into 3D models so that in the future Airbus can start directly to do any modifications on the Aircraft in 3D and by that, save a lot of time and money.

Franziska: How many Team Members do you have?

Wolfram: Currently it’s around 70 people. It’s distributed into different and smaller teams. In Rumania, India and Germany.

Franziska: What would you change in the world?

Wolfram: That is quite a difficult question. There are still lots of things that need to change but I think if I had to change one thing it would be to equalize the inequality which we have in the world so that everyone has the same chances in their lives and can achieve the same things as everyone else.

Franziska: Which career path did your parents wish for you?

Wolfram: Actually I don’t think they had something in mind. But I know that they wanted me to do something that I like and something in which I am good at.

A big thank you to Wolfram for participating. In January, we will continue with this series.
